We take pride in giving something back

Bit of a deep breath, here. Obviously, we take pride in giving something back, but not because we’re trying to make people think we’re worthy and impressive, but because we just think it’s the right thing to do.

So we’ve decided to run with the section to tell you a little more about the incredible work of the charities we support, and in hope that everyone who hears about that work will feel motivated to do their bit too.

Go Ape has chosen to focus on local charities in 2017.

Our 31 sites across the UK will be fundraising to help one of their local causes. Keep your eyes peeled here for more information on our Go Ape charities of the year.
In 2017, we will be pledging £35,000. Look out for gorillas acting strangely somewhere near you!

What we did in 2016

In 2016 we donated over £103k in cash and gift vouchers to good causes.
A cheque for £58,473 was handed to Outward Bound Trust in 2016. In June 2016, a team of our tribe took part in the Three Peaks Yacht Race, a whopping 389 miles of sailing, 72 miles of running and 18 miles of cycling! After completing the race in just four days and 16 hours, they raised a total of £7151 for Outward Bound Trust..
Staff from Exeter to Aberdeen baked cakes and ran marathons knowing that, for every £200 raised, a disadvantaged youngster will get to experience an amazing, life-changing week in the outdoors.

  3. Go Ape does not support individual fundraisers who are raising money to take part in organised overseas challenges and trips
  4. Go Ape does not support Animal Charities
  5. Go Ape prioritises local good causes in the communities near to our Go Ape location
